Using a Guitar Hero Type Video Game as an Authentication Method

I recently found this article which was truly fascinating. Recent researchers used a video game, similar to Guitar Hero, to have subjects memorize a sequence which would then be later used to authenticate them. The system was designed by students at Stanford University as well as a slough of scientists from Northeastern University as well.
